I’m an online and media writer, and I started netredbeauty to talk about products and experiences in a way that wouldn’t be possible in a magazine: I wanted to say whether a product was rubbish or not, not to discreetly ‘leave it out’. I just think consumers have a right to know if they’re throwing their money away. Basically, I’ve gathered so much product knowledge, but it’s all in my head and there’s nothing to do, so the blog comes into play. So, I like to showcase products that I think are great, beautiful and exciting and give a no-holds-barred opinion on the not-so-great ones. My thinking is that if a brand wants money for a product that doesn’t work and is of little value to its market, everything is smoke and mirrors and they need to go away and make a better product, rather than expecting no one to mention that it really isn’t very good.
