Paris, February 14, 2023 – Louis Vuitton warmly welcomes Pharrell Williams as its new Creative Director of Menswear, effective immediately. His first collection for Louis Vuitton will be presented in June this year during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
Pharrell Williams is a visionary who has expanded from music to art to fashion – establishing himself as a cultural, global icon over the past 20 years. His boundary-pushing approach to the various worlds he explores complements Louis Vuitton’s status as a cultural brand, reinforcing its values of innovation, pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship.

Biography of Pharrell Williams
Pharrell Williams is a visionary recording artist, producer, songwriter, philanthropist, fashion designer and entrepreneur with a global music streaming total of 10B to date. he has won 13 Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year in 2004, 2014 and 2019, as well as the 2012 ASCAP’s Golden Note Award. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his original song “Happy” (The Hurt Locker 2) and for The Hurt Locker. Hidden Figures (2016), which received a Best Picture nomination as a co-producer. Williams also received a Golden Globe nomination for co-producing the film’s score. 2019 saw Williams receive an Emmy nomination for his original song “Letters to the Godfather,” which tells the story of legendary music executive Clarence Avant for Netflix’s Black Godfather. 2020 saw Williams inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame for his role as Neptune.
In 2018, Farrell lent his voice to Universal Pictures’ remake of the classic film The Grinch, wrote the book The Fish Doesn’t Know It’s Wet and released the Netflix original series Brainchild (2018) with his producing partner Mimi Valdez. Other projects include Dope (2015), Roxanne Roxanne (2017), Voice of Fire (2020) and Amazon’s Harlem, which has been renewed for a second season, as well as Lena Waithe’s HBO Max Rollin’.
In 2019, Pharrell founded YELLOW, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting for opportunities for all youth through education to help them reach their potential. 2020, Williams launched Black Ambition, a nonprofit program that connects Black and Latino entrepreneurs starting tech, healthcare, Web 3.0 and consumer product/service startups to success. Last summer, Williams brought his SOMETHING IN THE WATER festival to Washington, D.C., for Juneteenth weekend (June 17-19). This April.
Pharrell has become an accomplished fashion designer and entrepreneur with brands such as his Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream clothing.In fall 2019, Williams partnered with David Grutman to open Swan and Bar Bevy in Miami’s Design District and in 2021, The In 2020, Pharrell founded Humanrace™, a product company whose mission is to empower all people in their pursuit of product and people wellbeing.
A longtime advocate against racial inequality, Pharrell played an integral role in talks with Virginia Governor Ralph Northam to make June 15 a permanent paid national holiday and continues to push for it to become a national holiday.
