Created in 2021, Nona Source is the first online platform that provides direct access to stalled fabrics from leading luxury brands for reuse by fashion and design professionals. Originating from LVMH’s DARE intrapreneurship program, the platform leads the way in transforming a truly circular fashion culture: creating, rather than manufacturing, on-demand fabrics from existing materials.
For the first time, Nona Source has appointed four ambassadors to fulfill this commitment, all of whom embody the perfect balance between innovation, artistry and craftsmanship.
Cecily Benson
Danish fashion designer Cecile was a finalist for the 2017 LVMH Prize. With Nona Source, she continues to breathe new life into materials that would otherwise be discarded.
Caroline Vito
Based in London, the Brazilian-born designer’s eponymous label, which she founded in 2020, emphasizes inclusivity and responsible use of resources. She sees designing with stagnant materials as a way to combine sustainability and inclusivity.
Nanci Dogacka
The Albanian designer, winner of the 2021 LVMH Award, sees Nona Source as a great source of creativity.
“With Nona Source fabric, I can imagine looks that convey my unique aesthetic, where visible seams, and contrasting sheer and matte aligned by thin straps, create a graphic effect on the body.”
-Victor Winsanto
A rising fashion star, the young designer’s “cool” style turns the norm on its head.
“The fact that these fabrics are on sale allows me to give my collection a more modern and eco-conscious feel.”
For the founders of Nona Source, the launch of this new ambassador program marks the beginning of a new chapter. “I believe their innovation and commitment to more sustainable fashion will help guide a new generation of designers, the “Mindful Creatives,” said Romain Brabo, co-founder of Nona Source
